Red, Olive & Leopard...aka unChristmas

Sweater: Old Navy; Undershirt: Downeast; Pants: Old Navy; Shoes: Target
Pin It

I'm always hesitant to wear red & green together for fear of looking too Christmasy. They're such good complementary colors, though, so I decided to try it out with olive instead, and threw in some leopard for good measure. I think it ended up more casual cool and less Christmas elf, but what do you say?

I keep thinking I'm showing earlier this pregnancy than I did the last one, but then that's usually in the evening right after I've stuffed my face, so perhaps what I'm seeing is a food baby and not a lemon baby. Because by morning, the belly seems to disappear and I get all nervous (because a belly is clearly an excellent indicator that everything is fine). Here, you can sort of see it poking out a bit. Before dinner.
Also, I just find this picture hilarious. There's something about naked, giggly babies that just makes me laugh, too.

  2. I think this works and isn't too Christmas-y since you went with an olive green :) I definitely can see a baby bump in these photos! And your son is just too cute on his rocking horse!

  3. I'm always hesitant to pair complementary colours too--red/green, blue/orange, red/green--I'm always afraid of looking like a holiday or sports team, and I think they have a tendency to be tacky. But this look is ADORABLE! I love the bold olive/white stripes with that bright red, and the leopard heels just make the outfit perfect. Great way to style a hard colour combination, total win.
